Minneapolis Messaround 2015

Image
The 10th (and final) Minneapolis Messaround was September 6, 2015 at Memory Lanes bowling alley.  It's primarily a car show but there were usually a few bikes there too.  It was always a fun one to attend.  Here are some highlights from 2015 starting with the cars: This car was so clean, it didn't look functional, but it was: This Studebaker had an interesting pin-up headliner: Check out the car seats: Live music was inside (a few lanes were blocked off for the stage): In terms of bikes, here's the Minnow Bucket from Relic Kustoms : Todd's Sportster before he spent the winter chopping it (it would go on to become the Wagon Burner): Steve's: Hope you got to experience the Minneapolis Messaround at least once!

August 2014 Events

Here's a quick rundown of a few events in August that you might be interested in checking out. 8/4-8/10: 74th Annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally (Sturgis, SD) Obviously, this is huge and a lot of people will make the 600 mile trip from the Twin Cities.  I went to the rally in 2007-2009 and had a blast each time.  I was just out in the Black Hills on a moto-fishing-camping adventure at the end of May and will post pics soon.  It's a phenomenal place to ride and can't recommend it enough. 8/7: First Thursday at Dulono's Pizza / Moto Mania at the Uptown VFW (Mpls.) According to Dulono's Facebook page, they are planning a big party for August so we'll see what that entails.  Moto Mania is growing fast and the buildings are practically across the street from each other so swing by both.  The blog is filled with photos from these events so if you've never been, go! 8/9: Ride For Larry Pierce (St. Paul / Monticello) Around the country, memorial rides ...

More bikes from the 2013 Minneapolis Messaround ... This hardtailed Sportster called "Retro Rocket" had an interesting orange and red flake paintjob. This blacked out softail looks like it has seen some miles.  The FLT Odd Fellows badge and the four-eyed drunken sailor bottle opener add a bit of mystery. Pans and shovels are up next...
