Filthy in Minneapolis

Image
After a fun ride on Saturday down dirt & gravel roads and a few muddy trails, my 883R was filthy.  I took it back out on Sunday and stopped at a few different places to take photos. I stopped briefly at the Intermedia Arts building on my way to Bob's . More photos tomorrow!

Before heading home after First Thursday, I stopped by the Intermedia Arts building for a few photos with the flame bike.

Graffiti Series Part 24 - Three Witches

I took a little ride on Sunday and stopped by the Intermedia Arts building to see if there were any new murals.  This one was great.  When I saw it, the song Tres Brujas by The Sword immediately started playing in my head.

Graffiti Series Part 23 - Gopher Sighting

Unless we get a serious warm up before the deep freeze of winter sets in, my last "real" ride of the season will end up being a ride I took through downtown Minneapolis two weeks ago on November 2nd.  After a stop at Bob's Java Hut , I got some photos at the Intermedia Arts building in front of a gopher mural!!! I say "real ride" because I took both of my bikes for very brief rides a few days later to add fuel stabilizer and top off the tanks before it snowed.  Those rides were really just to get the stabilizer through the fuel system. After snapping these photos, I headed towards the lakes and took a bunch of photos in Lakewood Cemetery .  Those are up next.

Graffiti Series Part 22 - Shark Bait

On my way to First Thursday / Moto Mania , I stopped at the Intermedia Arts building and there were some new murals outside.  The art changes often so I can only imagine how thick the paint is on these walls.

Graffiti Series Part 21 - Sportster

I took a ride downtown Saturday night.  I wanted to ride along the river but ran into a ton of traffic and blocked off roads as I guess there was a fireworks show going on.  I cut over to Lyndale and took photos behind the Intermedia Arts building... again.  I love this spot and the ever changing graffiti murals make an excellent backdrop for photos.

Graffiti Series Part 20 - Road King

After the Donnie Smith Show (yes, I'll post photos eventually), I took a ride and I stopped at one of my favorite places to take photos, the Intermedia Arts building in Uptown.  There was still some snow on the ground and the chrome bubble shield on my Biltwell Gringo made for some fun shots.

While riding around downtown on Labor Day, I noticed the mural on the side of the Intermedia Arts building changed again.  I like the space theme.  I need to stop by sometime at night as I'd bet it would look great with the overhead lights on.

I may have edited this photo slightly...

After getting my new  Avon Speedmaster installed, I broke it in with a ride downtown on Sunday.  I snapped a few photos in front of the Intermedia Arts building before heading down the street to Bob's for an iced coffee.
