I have my very first run of screenprinted t-shirts featuring Shawn Dickinson's "Gophers and Cheese" artwork available in the store .  I had them printed locally in St. Paul and I am very happy with the way they turned out. This is an Extra Large: I was a little nervous that some of the fine detail in Shawn's drawing might be lost during the printing process but the image turned out nice and crisp.  The blur in the really close-up shots are from my camera's fancy lens, not the shirt. I am beyond excited to share the new Gophers and Cheese logo at the top of the page.  I contacted Shawn Dickinson a few months ago to see if he would be interested in drawing something up.  I've never commissioned artwork before but I really couldn't be happier with the way it turned out. If you're not familiar with Shawn's work, I think it most closely resembles classic Looney Tunes cartoons, but with a hot rod style.  Here's just a small sampling of his work that I really like.  You can find lots more on his blog and you can buy his work in his store .

It's just me and my 2-year old daughter this weekend.  My wife's out of town visiting family.  Even though it's way too cold/snowy/icy/nasty to ride and there are no motorcycle events going on this weekend, I still found a creative way to generate some new original content for Lady Hump's February Blogosphere Challenge . By the way, if you haven't noticed, over 99% of what I've posted here for the last 3 years is original content. It may not all be current... but it's original. More Bearded Lady posts featuring never-before-seen photos I took back in July will start back up on Monday.  Stay tuned.

I made this icon for my iPhone. It should work if you save this page to your Home Screen on any iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch.  The quality looks great on my iPhone 4.  Unfortunately, the full name "Gophers and Cheese" won't fit, so I used "Gophers&Chz".

The high this weekend will be 0°F. I think I'll be drinking a lot of coffee out of my new Gophers and Cheese mug. Zazzle ran a really good Black Friday sale and I got some stuff with my logo on it. Here's the reverse side of my mug.

This is my hundredth post!!! When I started this blog back in March, I wasn't sure I'd enjoy doing it or keep up with it. However, it's been a ton of fun and I intend to keep it going for a long time. To celebrate post #100, I have finally added a logo to the page. The reason I hadn't done it sooner is that I found it really difficult to draw a realistic gopher in vector line-art. The cheese was a lot easier. Anyway, I am finally happy with the logo design and already have a few variations on it ready for different applications. With a logo will come stickers and more (check back for availability). After all, what good is a motorcycle blog without swag?
