Vintage Torque Fest, May 2026 - Part 2

Here are the rest of the photos I took Saturday at Vintage Torque Fest 2026.  I managed to get a few shots of my 1978 Harley-DavidSchwinn chopper bicycle on the dirt track while Torque Fest was in between racing events.  I did ride it around the track a bit, but didn't do the full oval as half was still muddy and tore up from the demolition derby.

After snapping some photos on the track I parked my bicycle near the show cars.

A real mini bike:

I was tempted to park my bicycle alongside the choppers inside one of the vendor buildings.

I got a bunch of photos of people coming around the curve after they raced in the dirt drags.

Van!!!

Not sure what happened, but I think the van broke after one full lap.  That's vannin'.

Benny's car looked really good on the track and his painting techniques were a big inspiration for what I did on my chopper bicycle.

Line-up for the famous mini bike parade.

John Wells led the trail of semi-organized chaos through the fairgrounds on his golf cart, as usual.

My son and I didn't stay Saturday night.  The forecast was for another very cold night and we decided we didn't want a repeat of Friday night so we piled our stuff back in the van and headed home a day early.  We still managed to see a lot and had a really good time.  The event is awesome and I certainly recommend it.  Just check the forecast and pack appropriately - early May is always a bit unpredictable.  At least the campground was pretty dry this year.
