Mama Tried Show, February 2026 - Part 1

I headed to Milwaukee just over a week ago for the Mama Tried Motorcycle Show.  It was my 7th time attending.  This year, I skipped a lot of the "official" events including Flat Out Friday and checked out different things.  Don't get me wrong, the official events and Flat Out Friday are great, but I wanted to explore and see more of Milwaukee.  I also love stopping in Madison for some quality time at Aftershock Retrogames on the drive out.  While in Milwaukee, I went to Lilliput Records, checked out some punk rock bands at X-Ray Arcade (while scoring over 600K on Galaga), played even more arcade games at Up/Down, and went to 2 tiki bars (Wauwatiki and Foundation).  It was a really fun whirlwind of a weekend.

Not having early access or a press pass (I miss those days), I got there early on Saturday and, knowing the layout of the Rave / Eagles Club, headed up the stairs and got to the show floor as quickly as I could to take photos before it got completely jammed.  I had a new 35mm prime lens with me that I am pretty happy with.  I used that for a while before it became nearly impossible to get full-bike shots in the crowd and switched over to my 50mm prime for detail shots later.

This bike was look to see in person and was stunning on a recent cover of DicE.

This bike from Temple Choppers was my favorite at the show.  It looks like it would suck to fill at a gas station but loved so much about this bike.

Rawr...

Big ol' paddle tire.

Perfect venue for this bike - the colors...

Zac's bike looked good on the show floor.  His fishtail cuts were new since I last saw the bike at Full Tilt.

This bike was also super-cool:

This thing was nuts.

Lots more photos to share, come back tomorrow.
