There was a solid turnout at Pokey Tire 2026 including cars, bikes, planes, and assorted death traps.
A pair of awards were handed out, one for The Pokey Tire King...
... as well as the Pokey Tire cup.

2-up on ice takes a lot of trust.
After a few hours, people started packing up. The steep ramp up and off the lake was no joke.

Hard to tell from these photos, but the tire chains did nibble on the fiberglass body a little bit. It made some noise but the damage certainly wasn't a big deal and it was totally worth it.
Pokey Tire was a blast. While these sorts of events can be fun to watch, nothing beats participating. Get an extra set of tires and some Kold Kutters or try putting some tire chains on and hope for the best. Either way, just get out there, be safe, and have fun (and try not to annoy the people ice fishing too much).
