Progressive International Motorcycle Show, Feb 2007

I bought my first bike (2004 Sportster) in October 2006 and the first big motorcycle show I attended was the Progressive International Motorcycle Show at the Minneapolis Convention Center in February 2007.  This was 3 years before I started the blog.  I was pretty active on the xlforum at the time (trying to learn and contribute) and was excited to share photos of the debut of the Harley Davidson Nightster.  I think this was one of its first public appearances.

Fork gaiters, short rear fender, aaaaaand a side-mounted license plate?  Hell yeah!

Holes in the belt guard?!?!  I busted out my drill and emulated this look on my bike for a while before ditching the belt guard completely.

Stretched, low, pointy, giant rear tire, and billet bits... pure 2007.

Wish I stayed to see and get photos of this:

50th Anniversary of the Sportster:

Well, that wraps up this little trip back in time.  Can you believe that was 19 years ago?  Wow.
