Remember the Bearded Lady in Northeast Minneapolis? That show was so good! Back in the early 2010s, Ma Rad's Rumble on the Deck, Full Tilt Boogie, and the Bearded Lady Motorcycle Freakshow would occur within the span of 2 weeks. I always took a ton of photos at each of them and then got overwhelmed trying to edit and post them to the blog while still trying to enjoy summer. The photos I took in 2014 and 2015 have just been sitting on my hard drive, not seeing the light of day... until now.
Blue-Cat and Vinyl-Lux were set up side-by-side:
Heavy was all set up as well:
The Bearded Lady was so great because of the mix of bikes and people it attracted. Nothing stock, everything custom and/or weird.
Union Speed & Style with their insanely high levels of craftsmanship:
Fast Five Cycles:
Heavy:
I rode my 2004 Sportster to the show. While 10 years old at the time, I'm now considering putting a classic plate on it. Where does the time go?
Zac's bike:
Scooter invasion!
The event is not complete without bearded ladies.
Indian Larry bike:
Scooter lot:
Victory Vision:
Cliff's bike sucks. Haha.
It's a vacuum cleaner joke. If you're young and not familiar with vintage canister vacuums, I know it just seems mean.
West Coast Choppers and Jesse James' signature on the tank.
Charlie's bike:
This is the type of bike that seemed built for the show:
The awards were always cool, though its hard to beat the tattooed piglets of past years.
The Speed Club tent:
Scooter? Check. A shit-ton of mirrors? Check. Suit and tie? Check. This guy was ready for the show and making the rest of us all look bad.
Brett:
All the mirrors! Seems like the perfect guy to ask for a glass cleaner recommendation.
Glad Jake didn't sell this bike at the time - it would go on to be legendary at Moto Mania.
Speaking of Moto Mania... Nate, Scott, and Drew were there too.
Jeff arriving with his sidecar.
Jeff let me sit in the sidecar and gave me a quick ride around the block later in the day. I looked a fair bit younger 11 years ago. I think my kids have aged me.
I'm only halfway through BLMFS 2014. More to come! In the meantime, you can check out past years of BLMFS here on the blog and I'm posting "ambient slideshows" in a playlist over on my YouTube channel.
