One last giant photo-filled blogpost from Full Tilt Boogie 2025 is about to begin. With the bike show and most of the bike games out of the way, the bands started up. Way too many people started leaving at this point. The bands were great and played well into the night. If you didn't stay and camp, you messed up. Maybe next year??? First up was "The Region's Premiere Van Halen Cover Band". Yes, that's the band's full name. These guys rock and are really fun.
Kick!!!
A few last bike shots while the sun was setting...
Extermination Day:
Since some of the vendors packed up and left, I moved my van to be able to sit and get a better view of the bands.
Almost out of nowhere, slow ride started at the far end of the field by the giant inflatable tiger.
Tanner, the Law Tiger himself, having a blast.
The grass claims another victim!
Joe relaxing after his band's set.
Nate enjoying the slow ride.
Another one down!
270 spin!
Back on 2 wheels:
Another one down in the back!
I don't know what was up with the grassy field but this series of photos below was the gnarliest and most surprising wipeout of the day. Most were simple little slides but this was something else entirely. Later, I came to find out this guy was on a friend's bike he borrowed to come out to the show. I heard he was OK and rode home the next day. His buddies have been asking for these photos and I'm guessing they will never let him forget it... like you might expect from any good friends.
Giant wipeout... and people just kept slow-riding!
Rad Enhancer was getting ready to perform.
Epic sunset:
Sunset selfie!
I saw
Rad Enhancer just a week before at the Van Nationals. They put on a great show and the lead singer is really funny in between songs too. The more times I see them (this was my 3rd time, I think), the more I want their cole slaw recipe.
Those shorts kept trying to get away.
One last van rolled in:
I opened my van up, turned on the lights, and fired up the video fireplace.
After Rad Enhancer wrapped up and the sun fully went down,
Erik's Iridescent Tent took the stage, backlit by
Van Glow Light Show.
Speaking of
Van Glow Light Show, Zac was working his magic behind the scenes...
Photos don't do it justice, but the stars and night sky were great out at the Gas-Lite.
The final band to take the stage under the stars was
Ancient Days.
The next morning, the moon was still hanging in the sky as the sun began to rise.
There's the sun:
The van was very comfortable overnight. To sleep, I simply pull out the table and inflate a twin air mattress.
I took a brief ride down to Maiden Rock before turning around and heading home.
Air mattress hair, don't care.
What's not visible in these photos from Maiden Rock were the insane swarms of mayflies. So many bugs!
Anyway, Full Tilt was awesome. I had a really great time. It sounds like the show might continue to be at this spot for the coming year(s). If so, I'm all for it. Now that people know a bit of what to expect, I can't wait to see what the future brings. Even if I'm back in the van, I'll definitely have a bike with me. If you missed it, you missed out. Don't make the same mistake next year. If you just can't get enough of Full Tilt, I've been attending since the very first one in 2011 and you can see all my past blogposts and photos
right here. One of the best things about Full Tilt is the fact it keeps changing and keeps evolving. Every year is a little different, and that's pretty cool.
