Mama Tried Show, February 2025 - Part 1

This past weekend, I headed out to Milwaukee for Mama Tried.  Like previous years, it's an incredible collection of custom motorcycles in a very cool venue that helps get us all through the end of Winter as we look forward to Spring.  Unlike previous years, I was there with my family, which is great because they were interested in seeing it, but it meant we were just there for the show itself and skipped Flat Out Friday and other events (this time).  On the bright side, it meant a lot fewer photos to sift through and edit so here we go...

We were there early afternoon on Saturday and it was packed.

Quite a unique Triumph chopper:

Great to see a number of bikes from the Twin Cities there including Kevin's:

Another example of a Twin Cities bike at the show:

Given how packed the show floor was, taking photos was challenging to say the least.  I tried using my fisheye lens, which has been great for van interiors.  It worked well with super wide venue shots but results with bikes were mixed.  I attempted a lot of wild and distorted views of various details but didn't allow enough distance for focusing so, in many photos, subjects were blurred and backgrounds weren't.  Not everything was a loss with the fisheye though.  The better ones are below.

The fisheye really captures the venue well.

OK, that's it for fisheye photos.  At this point I gave up trying to get full-bike shots and switched to my 50mm for undistorted details.  All those photos (even more than what I posted today) will wrap things up tomorrow.
