Here's the last batch of photos from the Twin City Vans Good Times Truck-In. I joined the convoy as we left the fairgrounds took a cruise north towards Rochester, MN. Randy and I needed gas and I totally forgot to put my gas cap back on. I had to call the gas station and pick it up on the way back.
The centerpiece of the oak console that I made is a dealer-only H-D 75th anniversary Christmas ornament. I have Harley 75th anniversary pieces all over my van since it's a 1978.
Proof these show vans are more-than roadworthy:
The destination was Wheels Unlimited - an amazing time capsule of a motorcycle shop. It's so old school, it doesn't even have a website.
Check out the speed holes in the sprocket:
We stopped in Chatfield, MN on the way back. Some grabbed food, some checked out the local antiques. I left before the rest of the convoy because I was on the schedule for the RC race and didn't want to be late.
Jim and I coordinated the RC race. This is Shane's van, which was very fast. My lunchbox, which managed to win last year, did not have a great showing this year. Oh well - still fun.
Shane got a few photos of me with my van:
Souvenir t-shirts printed live, on demand.
Once it got dark, it was time for the bright & shine.
I had Super Mario Kart running off a Mini SNES in my van.
Ryan & Nate:
Goat's lighting was quite impressive.
That's it from the 2023 show. The 47th Annual Twin City Vans Good Times Truck-In is June 7-9, 2024 at the Freeborn County Fairgrounds in Albert Lea, MN. NEW LOCATION!!! Albert Lea is where the club hosted the Van Nationals a few years ago.
