Vintage Torquefest, April 2022 - Part 4

Time for some dirt oval action from Vintage Torque Fest 2022!  Vintage racing, chain racing, and flame throwing are all jam packed into today's blogpost so buckle up!

While the vintage racing was somewhat serious, the chain race was not.  The concept behind the chain race was two cars are literally chained together with one dragging the other around.  I am pretty sure both cars have drivers but only one has power so they have to work together.  At some point, some chains (or more likely the parts the chains were attached to) broke and some teams reversed positions and one car pushed the non-powered car around from behind.  Contact was highly encouraged so all window glass was removed beforehand.  Last team still able to move wins.

I am not sure what part broke or what liquid exploded but it added a nice touch and burned for a while.

Yes, that's John - he was everywhere.

Flame throwing!!!  This time it was intentional (unlike the fireball in the chain race).
