Gophers and Cheese

Here are some photos of The Moto Collective 's shop.  I love their setup. The building is broken into stalls specific to each person in the group.  They include a lift and a workbench.  There are also a lot of tools shared by the group. Here you can see CB Builds ' space where he is building copper mufflers for sale here .  This guy ripped it up at Moto Mania and it was really fun to watch. Outside there is ample parking for people to show up and hang out.  There was a small fire pit too. Inside a DJ was playing music and a keg (donations accepted) kept everyone hydrated. The moonrise over the shop was beautiful but photos don't do it justice. If you missed it, I highly recommend checking out The Moto Collective next 4th Friday bike night on 9/25. On the way home, I snapped a few photos in front of the Lowry Avenue Bridge.  You can even see the ferris wheel at Betty Danger's in the background.

The Moto Collective started up their own bike night the 4th Friday of each month.  I missed the first one last month but was able to make it last night.  It's fun to check out all the work going on inside their shop and they even had a DJ and a keg.  What more could you ask for?  Here are some of the bikes that showed up including a vintage Ducati... ...and a newer 2013 Triumph: I finally met Roach Cliff! This past Sunday I took the 883 out for more off-road adventures.  This time I brought my GoPro and a tripod.  I set the tripod up in various locations and took video of me riding past it.  Of course, I took a lot of photos with my phone too. Here's a long-distance selfie taken with my GoPro: The sky was covered in a thick blanket of fast moving clouds that made for an ominous backdrop. However, the sun did peek through every once in while. This road made for some good photos because of the vanishing point.  It was sandy and quite slippery in some sections. As I mentioned, I took quite a bit of video.  Here are a few stills from the forest section: However, the most fun I had was in this part where there was standing water from the rain showers on Saturday.  I started cautiously just riding through the edge of the puddles before taking a chance closer to the middle. It was cold, wet, and very dirty but I was grinning ...
