Wrapping up coverage from the 2025 Twin City Vans Good Times Truck-In in Albert Lea, MN. After the cruise, R/C Van races were up next. I built a foldable ramp and brought cones to help lay out the course. It was a lot of fun. Some people really sent it over the ramp leading to a lot of thrills & spills and at least one van had a wheel break completely off!
With the sun down, it was time for bright and shine! My video fireplace rarely shows up well in photos. Maybe I need to pause it.
It didn't turn out in the photo but I believe the award on the drink holder was for "Best Ford".
I need to remember not to park next to Don for bright & shine. It's really well-done but our vans are just totally very different vibes. Mine is dark and moody while his is bright with booming music and tends to drown mine out. Either that or I need to invest in a better sound system.
After bright & shine, music and karaoke went on into the night. The next morning, I packed up and headed out.
If you have (or can get a hold of) a van, be sure to join us next month for the Van Nats - same location, but a MUCH bigger event. There will be tons going on with hundreds of vans, lots of great bands, and good times. Get all the details here and we'll see you in July!!!
