Mama Tried and Flat Out Friday 2016 - Part 4

The weather for Mama Tried in 2016 was relatively warm so the official ice riding event known as Slippery Sunday was cancelled.  That didn't keep a few people from finding an alternative place to go.  It takes a long time to stud a tire and I'd understand if people didn't want that effort to go to waste.  Here are Matt & Mark posing for pics.

I managed to tag along and we initially stopped at some sort of port or industrial complex which would have made for some cool photos but I think we got kicked out before bikes were even unloaded.  I just know we had to leave.  Word came in that a lake south of the city had ice so we headed almost an hour out of the city to Lily Lake Resort.

At Lily Lake, people got out on the ice as soon as their studded tires were mounted.

Mark seemed to be having a blast.

I really loved taking these photos.  It was fun to watch (even if I was a little jealous as I would have liked to have tried it myself).  That's it from 2016!  2017 is up next.
