The track was fun and I went out and rode it a bunch throughout the day when I wasn't taking photos. The infield was also fun. You'd just have to be careful crossing the track to get to it.
People set up tents and there were some vendors including Heavy Clothing. Ryan grilled up some brats.
Behind the Heavy booth was a flagpole that Kevin (pictured on his Sportster above) decided to climb. That particular move may have been Coors-powered. He had many more examples of acrobatics and feats of strength that I'll get to in later posts.
Some friendly, dirty faces in the infield:
Some bikes that were resting:
Scott's suffered a few injuries, as did he but it didn't stop either of them. Note his fancy air cleaner.
If you think the town had no idea what they were signing up for, you'd be right and wrong. I think they were delighted and here's one of the officials (either from the town or the fairgrounds - I don't remember) on his scooter talking to Dan before taking a hot lap.
Almost halfway done... Look for more Moto Mania photos and more blogposts all next week - check back daily!
