Where Real Motorcycles and Virtual Ones Meet

On my way home on Sunday, I stopped at Raceway To Fun in Newport, MN.  They have go-karts, batting cages, a driving range, mini golf, and more.  I have ridden past it many times but have never stopped and I've been wanting to check out the arcade.

I love video games, especially old arcade games from the 80s and early 90s.  I was happy to see this place had a few classics and was pleasantly surprised that the games took real quarters, not tokens or stupid point cards.  My first quarter went into Frogger and I put up a decent (certainly not great) high score.

I must have looked either completely hardcore or completely ridiculous in my leather jacket, jeans, and boots playing Hang-On.  I made it through a few checkpoints on my second quarter and got the high score so I was pretty happy with that.  My years of riding Harleys have finally made me a better video game player.

I also dumped some quarters into Lethal Enforcers II: Gun Fighters before leaving.  I ended up getting high scores on all three games I played which probably means two things: (1) they must turn the machines off each night and (2) kids today don't like old arcade games.  Regardless, I like this place and I'll be back.
