Tank Lift Brackets
I picked up some 1/8" x 3/4" steel and four rubber grommets to make some tank lift brackets.
I cut two pieces using my cutting wheel.
Then I clamped them together and marked where the holes would go, exactly 2 inches apart.
I had to drill them just a little bigger so the grommets would fit. The tank bolt is a 5/16" bolt but I had to drill a 7/16" hole. The grommet is very snug and the bolt (which you can see to the right) fits perfectly.
I started to round off the corners.
Here the rounding is complete.
Then I cleaned up the steel and primed it to be painted later. I'll add the grommets after that.
