Aerostich Darien Pants

I visited Aerostich in Duluth a few weeks ago and special ordered a pair of Darien Pants (raise knee 1.5 inches and omit thigh map velcro).  They told me it would probably take 2 weeks but I received my pants that same week (awesome!), just in time for the Flood Run.

So far, I've been very happy with them.  The knee pads sit just slightly higher than I would like when riding so maybe raising them 1 inch instead of 1.5 inches would have been perfect but it's close enough and a lot better than where they sat when I tried them on in Duluth.  It would have cost a little more, but I think I would have deleted the reflective material too but it doesn't really bother me.

I've been wearing the Dariens over a pair of jeans and they have been comfortable.  They're still a little stiff but seem to be slowly loosening up.  I do think they will be very hot when the weather warms up as they don't seem like they'll breathe very well.  We'll see.

I really like the added piece of mind these pants provide.  I also like that they're waterproof so they'll be great if I get caught in any rain.  The cuffs are nice and tight at the bottom so the pants don't ride up my legs when using my Road King's highway pegs like jeans do.  They're also pretty easy to get on and off even when wearing boots.  Overall, so far so good!
